The framing for the floors are all 2x2 wood. The coop sits on two treated 2x4 runners (to keep it from sitting directly on the ground). Decking for the floor is real plywood 5/8”, siding is 3/8”, inside framing 2x2, and a metal roof with lathing strips instead of plywood for better ventilation. Also used 1x3 trim, and everything has two coats of primer and two coats of exterior paint on the outside, the floor on the inside, and underneath. Additionally, it has a large side door for cleaning, two roosting bars that are both removable, and one 12x12 removable nesting box that’s hidden inside of the side door (very easily accessible).
