Includes the following upgrades to our standard large chicken coop: an extra window and wider roosting bars.
The chicken coop is made from quality materials. The framing for the floor is treated 2x4 wood. Decking for the floor is 5/8” plywood, outside walls are 5/8” siding, 2x2 inside framing and rafters, 1x2 and 1x3 trim, and a metal roof with lathing strips instead of plywood for better ventilation. Everything has two coats of primer and three coats of exterior paint underneath, on the outside, and on the floor on the inside - plus 18” up the side walls as an added barrier to protect the wood from absorbing waste odor.
Additionally, it has an open entrance and an XXL door for extra easy access and clean out. There are two nesting boxes, two 4’ long x 4” wide roosting bars that are removable, and a 12”x20” removable section on the floor that reveals a wire bottom (for better ventilation and cleaning). Two vents on two sides (4 total), one 12”x18” tempered glass window that opens from the inside, and one 12”x12” tempered glass windows that does not open.

This coop will hold up to 8 chickens at two square feet per chicken. The number of square feet you need depends on if you have small, medium, or large birds.
